Dopo un 2020 vissuto con il freno a mano tirato, il 2021 si prospetta come un’annata di grandi iniziative e di opportunità che Ravenna Runners Club vuole cogliere per contribuire al rilancio dell’attività sportiva collettiva nel rispetto di quelle che saranno le normative in vigore nelle varie occasioni che si configureranno. Ecco dunque le date delle manifestazioni programmate per il 2021 dallo staff dell’associazione, un calendario con spunti interessanti ed alcune novità davvero imperdibili, oltre al gran finale di novembre con la Maratona che tutti auspicano possa ricalcare quelle degli ultimi anni.

30 MAGGIO – RAVENNA MUSIC RUN

L’annata si aprirà, se le condizioni sanitarie lo consentiranno e l’effetto combinato di vaccini e normative avranno sortito gli effetti sperati, Domenica 30 Maggio 2021 con la prima edizione di Ravenna Music Run. Sempre attenti all’evolversi della società e dei gusti, ma soprattutto sempre propensi a lanciare novità, ecco un nuovo format che punta a unire insieme due passioni: lo sport e la musica. Sviluppando l’idea già ampiamente radicata con la Maratona di Ravenna, quella che verrà proposta sarà una 10 Km, sia competitiva che ludico motoria in maniera da essere accessibile a tutti, costellata lungo il percorso da punti “musicali” a cura di band, scuole e gruppi. Un percorso che seguirà un filo conduttore legato sia ai diversi generi che alle decadi che hanno segnato la storia della musica.

5 SETTEMBRE – RAVENNA PARK RACE

Domenica 5 Settembre è prevista invece la terza edizione di Ravenna Park Race, la manifestazione organizzata nell’affascinante e unico percorso che si dipana fra la pineta San Vitale, la massicciata sul mare e la Pialassa della Baiona con Trail Running ed Eco Walking. Un viaggio tra stradelli incorniciati in un sottobosco da favola, tra il mare, i canali, i casoni da pesca, piante di rara bellezza e uccelli di ogni specie tra i quali i famosi aironi. Partenza e arrivo a Casal Borsetti, con transito nei territori di Porto Corsini e Marina Romea.

26 SETTEMBRE – PINK RANNING

Dopo pochi giorni la seconda novità. Domenica 26 Settembre appuntamento con Pink RAnning, una corsa “in rosa”, ma aperta ad ambo i sessi. In questa occasione lo sport si unirà al sociale come già accaduto tante volte nel passato, con un messaggio però ben chiaro e specifico. L’evento sarà infatti organizzato con il coinvolgimento di Linea Rosa e tutta la sua rete associativa per lanciare un segnale forte nella lotta alla violenza contro le donne. Un evento di caratura nazionale pensato per utilizzare il canale del running come cassa di risonanza per un problema sempre più difficile da combattere e dunque da affrontare con ogni tipo di iniziativa.

12, 13, 14 NOVEMBRE – MARATONA DI RAVENNA CITTÀ D’ARTE

Infine, ecco la conferma per l’attesissimo weekend della Maratona di Ravenna Città d’Arte 2021 in programma dal 12 al 14 Novembre con tutte le iniziative del suo grande contenitore. Venerdì 12 l’apertura dell’Expo, Sabato 13 la Family Run e la Dog’s & Run, Domenica 14 il gran finale con Correndo Senza Frontiere, Good Morning Ravenna, Ravenna Half Marathon e naturalmente la 22esima edizione della Maratona di Ravenna Città d’Arte. E con l’avvento dei vaccini ed un possibile ritorno alla normalità nei prossimi mesi, l’ottimismo per un evento in linea con gli ultimi anni pare abbastanza fondato.

Tra le segnalazioni, giusto evidenziare come l’associazione abbia scelto di non proseguire con l’ipotesi iniziale di proporre Domenica 21 Marzo il recupero della Good Morning Ravenna 2020 annullata lo scorso 8 Novembre. Nelle ultime settimane si sono succeduti una serie di incontri con le istituzioni locali e le autorità preposte e tutte le realtà coinvolte hanno convenuto che la data ipotizzata non offre le necessarie garanzie di sicurezza per lo svolgimento di un evento così partecipato e che si fonda sulla socializzazione e la voglia di stare insieme. La Good Morning 2020 è dunque da ritenere definitivamente annullata e le iscrizioni raccolte saranno trasferite automaticamente all’edizione 2021 del 14 Novembre. Ogni singola necessità a riguardo potrà comunque essere segnalata inviando una mail a 10k@maratonadiravenna.com.

After a 2020 lived with the handbrake on, 2021 promises to be a year of great initiatives and opportunities that Ravenna Runners Club wants to seize to contribute to the relaunch of collective sporting activity in compliance with what will be the regulations in force on the various occasions that will arise. Here are the dates of the events scheduled for 2021 by the staff of the association, a calendar with interesting ideas and some really unmissable news, in addition to the grand finale of November with the Marathon that everyone hopes will follow those of recent years.

MAY 30 – RAVENNA MUSIC RUN

The year will open, if sanitary conditions permit and the combined effect of vaccines and regulations have had the desired effects, on Sunday 30 May 2021 with the first edition of Ravenna Music Run. Always attentive to the evolution of society and tastes, but above all always keen to launch new things, here is a new format that aims to combine two passions: sport and music. Developing the idea already widely rooted with the Ravenna Marathon, what will be proposed will be a 10 km, both competitive and recreational motor in order to be accessible to all, dotted along the route with “musical” points by bands, schools and groups. A path that will follow a common thread linked both to the different genres and to the decades that have marked the history of music.

SEPTEMBER 5 – RAVENNA PARK RACE

On Sunday 5 September, the third edition of Ravenna Park Race is scheduled, the event organized in the fascinating and unique path that unfolds between the San Vitale pine forest, the embankment on the sea and the Pialassa della Baiona with Trail Running and Eco Walking. A journey through small roads framed in a fairytale undergrowth, between the sea, canals, fishing huts, plants of rare beauty and birds of all species including the famous herons. Departure and arrival in Casal Borsetti, with transit through the territories of Porto Corsini and Marina Romea.

SEPTEMBER 26 – PINK RANNING

After a few days the second novelty. Sunday, September 26, appointment with Pink RAnning, a race “in pink”, but open to both sexes. On this occasion, sport will join the social as it has already happened many times in the past, with a clear and specific message. The event will in fact be organized with the involvement of Linea Rosa and its entire associative network to send a strong signal in the fight against violence against women. An event of national caliber designed to use the running channel as a sounding board for a problem that is increasingly difficult to combat and therefore to face with any type of initiative.

12, 13, 14 NOVEMBER – RAVENNA MARATHON CITY OF ART

Finally, here is the confirmation for the highly anticipated weekend of the Ravenna Marathon City of Art 2021 scheduled from 12 to 14 November with all the initiatives of its large container. Friday 12 the opening of the Expo, Saturday 13 the Family Run and Dog’s & Run, Sunday 14 the grand finale with Correndo Senza Frontiere, Good Morning Ravenna, Ravenna Half Marathon and of course the 22nd edition of the Ravenna Marathon City of Art. And with the advent of vaccines and a possible return to normal in the coming months, the optimism for an event in line with the last few years seems quite well founded.

Among the reports, it is right to highlight how the association has chosen not to continue with the initial hypothesis of proposing on Sunday 21 March the recovery of the Good Morning Ravenna 2020 canceled last 8 November. In recent weeks, a series of meetings have taken place with local institutions and the authorities in charge and all the realities involved have agreed that the hypothesized date does not offer the necessary security guarantees for the carrying out of such a well-attended event and which is based on socialization and the desire to be together. The Good Morning 2020 is therefore to be considered definitively canceled and the registrations collected will be automatically transferred to the 2021 edition of November 14th.
